Fairchild Semiconductor Receives EDAW's 2006 Best Product Award in the Power Device Category

PFC-SPM is front-end rectifier circuit which is specially designed to meet the harmonic current regulation such as IEC61000-3-2. Fairchild’s PFC-SPM series, which integrates rectifier diodes / fast and soft recovery diodes, 2 IGBTs, one gate driving IC and thermistor, consist of a PSCM (Partial Switching Converter Module) for low power applications (1 ~ 3 kW) and PFCM (Power Factor Correction Module) for high power systems (3~6 kW). By using new DBC-plated package which has same mechanical dimension with Motion-SPM™ in Mini-DIP, the PFC-SPM can be installed on the same heatsink with Motion-SPM™, therefore enables easy assembly and increased productivity.
