China Electronics Enterprises Association Awards Fairchild Semiconductor with China Excellent Supplier Prize
Award highlights Fairchild’s ongoing drive to provide the highest levels of customer service and support to China’s electronics engineers
San Jose, California – November 21, 2008 – Fairchild Semiconductor (NYSE: FCS), a leading global supplier of high performance products that enable energy-efficiency, has won a prestigious China Excellent Suppliers award from the China Electronics Enterprises Association (CEEA).
Supplier companies were nominated by CEEA members for this prestigious award and were assessed and selected based on a diverse range of criteria. Nominated companies were scrutinized on their customer service systems, business reputation, scope of operations, growth internationally and their record on corporate social responsibility. On the product side, CEEA’s judging panel considered the strength of each company’s product portfolio, with areas of focus in manufacturing and R&D reputation, quality control management, risk-prevention and ability to control costs and achieve economies-of-scale.

Environmental Management System Certificates and Health and Safety Management System Certificates demonstrate how Fairchild meets or exceeds standards set by ISO 14001, the environmental certification organization, and its health and safety counterparts OHSAS 18001 or KOSHA 1800.
Fairchild has taken a proactive approach to both the RoHS and WEEE directives and a RoHS compliance statement is available on its website.
Customer Environmental Management System Certifications have been obtained by implementing environmental management systems that meet or exceed the requirements set by Fairchild’s customers.
The CEEA is China’s leading national organization for domestic enterprises engaged in research, development, manufacture and sales of electronic and electrical goods. Headed by Mr. Zhang Jinqiang, a member of the State Political Consultative Conference and former Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Information Industry, the CEEA currently has more than 2700 members.
