Fairchild Semiconductor Showcases Green Power Solutions at eMEX Suzhou 2008

San Jose, California - October 9, 2008 - Fairchild Semiconductor (NYSE: FCS), a leading global supplier of high performance products that enable energy efficiency, will showcase its products that deliver green, energy-efficient solutions at the seventh annual eMEX Suzhou exhibition, October 16-19, 2008 at Suzhou International Expo Center. Fairchild's leading-edge solutions in AC-DC conversion, consumer, lighting, communication, computing, motion, industrial and portable systems will be demonstrated at Booth 3N09 in Hall 3A.

These new design initiatives are developed through our expanding network of Global Power ResourceSM centers here in China and around the world."
Fairchild will demonstrate its expertise and solutions across four key product application areas at eMEX 2008.
- The AC-DC conversion section will feature a number of adapters as well as ATX reference designs and power supplies for color TVs, DVDs (including portables) and LCD applications. Also being demonstrated is the Power-SPM™ module for synchronous rectification, the FPP06R001. This highly integrated module increases power efficiency, system ruggedness and space efficiency in power supply designs.
- A number of live demos will take place in the communication and computing section at the booth. These solutions help conserve efficiency and space, while offering high performance to a wide range of portable applications. Highlights include:
- The Motion and Industrial section will feature evaluation boards that drive energy efficiency for applications such as washing-machines, coffee machines, refrigerators, sewing machines, induction cookers and air conditioners.
Other products on display will be Fairchild's Motion-SPM™. These power modules maximize space, efficiency and reliability in home appliances and industrial motors up to 3kW, offering superior inverter-based control for energy-efficient three-phase motors.
The exhibit will also feature Fairchild's Field Stop Trench IGBT devices that provide system designers of induction heating applications with a highly efficient solution offering optimal tradeoffs between conduction losses and switching losses, thus maximizing efficiency.
- In the consumer and lighting section, Fairchild will showcase the most highly integrated ballast IC product for compact fluorescent lamps (CFL). Offering a "system-in-a-package" approach, the FAN7710 optimizes performance while simplifying design and overcoming the space limitations of CFL lighting applications.
Also featured will be the FMS6502, an 8-input, 6-output video switch matrix offering industry-leading cost effectiveness and space savings in consumer and industrial video applications such as automotive in-cabin entertainment systems, HDTVs, flat panel displays and A/V receivers.
